Homemade macarons

I think we all love macarons don't we?? About 2 years ago I had my first attempt at making them and they were absolute Maca-ruins! I was devastated, they went in the bin and that was the end of that....until yesterday. Feeling brave I gave it another go, and here they are! Not perfect, far from it but a million times better than my first batch.

A few for my lovely Emma as a belated birthday treat.
 All tied up with string.
On another note, I have been crafting away on an exciting new project.....but SSHHHH, it's a secret for now! :)

Winter woolies

Cold, rainy and dark, Winter has truly set in. No better time to finally finish a few crochet projects to keep myself warm and cozy this season.

Just looking at all this woolie goodness makes me feel ready to face the chill outside.
Rainbow wrist warmers. Pattern from this beautiful blog.

Chunky hat made using this pattern.
Sunburst granny scarf with my favourite colours.
A hot cup of tea! By far the best way to keep warm....

Vintage sheet love

A few weeks ago....
My awesome vintage sheet haul from the "stash and treasure" markets in Sydney! There will be a patchwork quilt made from these which I'm super excited about.
The washing line never looked so pretty!
A few sneaky pics of some market stalls and my lovely crafty buddy Emma. I hope these type of markets will crop up more often as they are such a great.

Sunny happy bedroom makeover

Inspired by a yellow cushion and my pretty new(ish) bed linen, I gave our bed a sunshiney makeover. It seems yellow is here to stay in my life!

Another crochet cushion cover! And these purple floral vintage sheets have been in my family since I was a child, I just love them.
How can you not be happy around this colour.

Nice to see our bedroom looking so lovely...however, this stylized look only lasted a day!!

Sweet Treats

This weekend the Handmade Craft Markets were on in Terrigal. It's been a while since I've checked out these markets but since they are now held literally across the road from me I couldn't resist. I was delighted to find the most beautiful cupcakes there, just amazing. Here are the 2 that I bought and a few cheeky macarons as well.

 So pretty, sigh!

I'll have to be on the look out for one of those icing nozzles that makes grass. Love the little lady bug.
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. xxx

Happy Mother's day for yesterday...and for my Mum, I made her a crochet cushion cover for her loungeroom and she loved it!

I hope all the mummies were spoilt yesterday! xxx

Cute fruits...strawberries

Still mad keen on fabric fruit, I went to town making strawberries this time....20 of them! They are suprisingly easy to make and just a little bit addictive.

Now to find a use for them!
