Purple flowers and a mossy rabbit

The supermarket has been kind to me this week. Firstly in the Easter section I fell in love with the mossy rabbit, so he came home with me. Then I treated myself to a bunch of beautiful Iris flowers, aren't they divine?! I adore the colour combination of purple and yellow and I think the mossy rabbit does too ;)

I am getting excited about Easter and easter decorating. It is my favourite time of the year...bunnies, chocolate and hot cross buns, what's not to love. Oh and how can I forget the pastel colours!
Looking so forward to all the easter projects that should be popping up on the blogs over the next few weeks.

Sunny happy bedroom makeover

Inspired by a yellow cushion and my pretty new(ish) bed linen, I gave our bed a sunshiney makeover. It seems yellow is here to stay in my life!

Another crochet cushion cover! And these purple floral vintage sheets have been in my family since I was a child, I just love them.
How can you not be happy around this colour.

Nice to see our bedroom looking so lovely...however, this stylized look only lasted a day!!

Plastic purses in pretty pastel colours

Isn't nice to feel inspired?
I've been busy this week sewing like I've never sewn before, on a mission to make multples of nice things in the hope of one day having a market stall of my very own.
Plastic purses. It's nothing new. I honestly thought it would be beyond me, but wanted to give it a go none the less with my own pretty, girly, pastel style. I'm really happy with how they turned out even though there was much cursing during the making process on my behalf, oops!

Our hydrangea is blooming in the most perfect shade of purple, and with this aqua doily it makes up my favourite colour combination of all time. Aaahhh, so lovely.
More purple flowers in my garden.
A perfect white gardenia, just heavenly.

Purple and Yellow = Happy Colours!

What a lucky girl I was this week to receive the most absolutely gorgeous bunch of flowers. They were  a belated birthday present from a dear friend and my goodness they have made me happy. I have been oohing and aahing over them at every opportunity and the stunning colours have inspired me to make a happy little spring display.
The colours tie in beautifully with the Bunting I already had hanging in the window, don't you love it when these things just magically happen!
How sweet is this little spotty cup...and it's from Coles. Thanks to my friend Emma who alerted me to the fact Coles had them.
I adore these Kashmiri papier mache bangles from one of my all time favourite stores, Tree of Life.
I've even added yellow to my nail polish collection, but it's ok because its Pastel!

Can you tell I love colour? What colour combinations float your boat?

three green bottles...

I've had these buddha beer bottles for ages now and today I finally dragged them out from the cupboard under the sink and put them to good use. I adore purple and green so it's just lucky that I treated myself to these purple carnations a few days ago, they go perfectly. It was a grey old afternoon outside but they really brighten up the window sill I think, bringing spring inside.
Meanwhile my boyfriend has made this amazing welcome sign, just on a whim! My nextdoor neighbours chopped a tree down and we were able to collect a few logs (for future projects I have up my sleeve) and a couple of thinner pieces like this. I adore the bunny and cat which represent our little boys, Cookie and Oliver.
My pretty flowers. I more often than not have carnations in the house as they are usually really inexpensive so they make a cheap treat, they come in lots of lovely colours and they last for ages, bonus! But honestly I love all flowers and could easily have them all through the house,in every room.

Loving my yellow roses

Still in my 'yellow' phase, I treated myself to these gorgeous roses. I love having fresh flowers in the house.
I think yellow and purple are a great colour combination.
Another project finished off, a sweet little heart wreath. I have a larger one I may tackle this week.
What a wonderful surprise I found in my garden today, cute little mushrooms! It's turning into a proper fairy garden now, so delighted.
